Suitable for children over age six with at least 1 year experience. Not only does this program include syllabus developed by the International Society of Rhythmic Gymnastics (ISRG) & British Gymnastics Association (BGA), but RG Routines will also be choreographed based on the Rhythmic Gymnastics Code of Points developed by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). Participants of this course will be able to take part in both national and international rhythmic gymnastics competitions. All Elite Team Gymnast are required to train for at least 4 hours per week.
What do we do in class?
Foundation Exercise: Stretching & Conditioning, Muscle Strengthening
Freehand Movements: Ballet & Contemporary Jazz Technique
Acrobatic Technique: Forward roll, Backward roll, Cartwheel, Walkovers
Body Difficulties: Leaps, Pivots, Balance exercises.
Apparatus Difficulties: Ball, Hoop & Ribbon; e.g. bouncing, rolling, throw and catch exercises.
Routine Practise: RG & Dance movements combined with music
What are the Benefits?
Through learning basic gymnastics techniques with the use of various rhythmic gymnastics apparatus (ball, rope, hoop, ribbon), children can enhance their body coordination and control, flexibility, and gradually build up self-confidence, self-discipline, social skills and team spirit.

Other than adopting accredited rhythmic gymnastics coaching from the ISRG & BGA Syllabus, we also have trained coaches who understand the curriculum extremely well. Gymnasts with a continuous RG training of 6 months will be able to take their first examination, which usually take place in Hong Kong in June & November every year but the times are subject to any unforeseen changes.
2. Performances and Competition Opportunities
In Star Dream Academy, we highly encourage gymnast to take part in performances and competitions, to boost their self-confidence and expand their horizons. Thus, all gymnasts will learn different RG routines in class, in which movements will be combined with wonderful rhythms and music to form an elegant routine that include both dance and gymnastic elements. Elite Team students will be given top priority to participate in oversea international competitions.
